Music Video Model

Music Video Models (also known as video vixens) are hired by modeling agencies, talent agencies and casting directors to act in music videos. Many hip hop (rap) videos, rock , and pop videos use music video models to add to the scenes of the videos. You don't need any experience to become a music video model, however, a little modeling, acting or dancing skills can help you land more music video jobs.     • Become a music video model by signing up with modeling agencies that book music videos models. Once you get representation from a modeling agency, ask your modeling agent to submit you to music video casting calls. If the client likes your look, they may call you in for an audition or better yet, may direct book you for the music video job.
    • Search online casting websites such as www.allcastingcalls.com for music video modeling auditions, casting calls and open calls. Follow the directions of the music video casting call in order to apply and attend the audition. Be sure to take your modeling portfolio or a clear headshot and body shot. If you have comp cards, take them with you so you can leave one with the casting director.
    • Attend public music industry events. Record release parties and award parties for new artists are great venues to network with people in the music business. Give out your business cards or comp cards to record company executives at the event and let them know if they ever need models for any upcoming music videos.
